There’s things you never thought you’d do in your life. When I first started photography, birth photography didn’t even cross my mind. Once I got into shooting and the way we shoot, birth photography seemed like the perfect avenue. Unfortunately since we shoot weddings, it’s hard to schedule shooting births as well. When Sarah, who happens to be a spectacular wedding and birth photographer, approached me asking to shoot her birth I was blown away. Well, three weeks late, Mr. Wystan decided to make his appearance. After 30 of the most composed hours of labor i’m sure anyone has ever gone through, he joined our universe. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. And yes, I bawled like a baby. He’s also fricking adorable.
We usually don’t shoot weddings in Virginia Beach anymore, and the one’s we had there this year kicked ass. It was no different when we shot Mike & Courtney’s wedding, considering they currently live in New York, so they brought some awesome NY vibe with them and their guests. It was a perfect day, with the most perfect cotton candy sunset and a night full of perfect dance moves!

With our style, we tend to attract couples who we mesh with really well. Sydney & Corey were no exception. They’re spectacular, hilarious and have a seriously good taste in music. Spending the day photographing their wedding in Richmond was definitely one for the books. There were so many tears, laughs and some pretty kick ass dancing.
